After this past weekend, there's no argument that the Oklahoma Sooners have a better 2027 recruiting class than anyone else in college football and it's full of future household names OU fans should already start getting familiar with.
The Sooners landed FIVE commitments over the weekend while hosting their Future Freaks Junior Day recruiting event. The rapid fire of commitments started with 2027 quarterback Jamison Roberts on Saturday, and three more targets followed suit on the same day, including three-star interior offensive lineman Tyson Ross, four-star safety Jaylen Scott and four-star tight end Seneca Driver. Three-star athlete Greydon Howell then concluded the weekend haul with his decision on Sunday.
The new slew of commitments gave the Sooners the No. 1 2027 class according to every major recruiting service. The five additions also put OU at 19 total commitments already. For comparison, Texas A&M is second in 247Sports' team rankings and has 10 commits so far.
It was hard for OU fans to keep up with the flurry of new commitments, so here's what you need to know about each future Sooner, listed in order of their ranking based on the 247Sports Composite.
Every Sooners 2027 commit after Future Freaks Junior Day
Cooper Hackett
5-star OT
Fort Gibson, OK
An offensive lineman will once again be the headliner of an OU recruiting class with homegrown product Cooper Hackett, who's the No. 17 overall prospect in the country and No. 3 offensive tackle. He's also the best player in the state of Oklahoma and chose to stay home to play for the Sooners after flipping from Texas Tech to play for less money at OU.
Cooper Witten
5-star LB
Argyle, TX
OU was one of the first major programs to offer Cooper Witten before he emerged as one of the best players in the entire class. The Sooners then seemed to lock in Witten after hiring his dad, NFL great Jason Witten, as their new tight ends coach. Witten finally made his decision official just last week as the No. 28 prospect in the class and No. 2 linebacker.
Kaeden Penny
5-star OT
Bixby, OK
Just minutes after Hackett committed to the Sooners in September, fellow Oklahoman and offensive lineman Kaeden Penny made his decision known. Penny was eventually upgraded to five stars with Hackett as the No. 32 overall prospect, No. 4 OT and No. 2 player in the state.
Seneca Driver
4-star TE
Danville, KY
Seneca Driver was part of OU's massive recruiting weekend as new tight ends coach Jason Witten's first high school commitment. Driver is another top-100 player at No. 56 and the No. 3 TE based on the 247Sports Composite, but he's considered the top tight end by Rivals.
Taven Epps
4-star ATH
Tustin, CA
Listed as an athlete, Taven Epps will likely play linebacker for the Sooners. He's the No. 6 LB in the 2027 class and No. 93 overall player as OU's fifth top-100 commit.
Demare Dezeurn
4-star WR
Westlake Village, CA
Although undersized at 5-foot-10, Demare Dezeurn has enough speed to make him a big-time playmaker and to be considered the No. 18 wide receiver in the class.
Keldrid Ben
4-star RB
Montgomery, TX
Keldrid Ben was unrated and unranked with no other Power Four offers when he committed to OU in December. Now, he's a four-star prospect and the No. 6 running back in the 2027 with a growing list of offers as proof of the Sooners' keen eye for exceptional talent before others.
Krew Jones
4-star EDGE
Orem, UT
Krew Jones could be the Sooners' next outstanding pass rusher as the No. 18 edge rusher in the class.
Jaylen Scott
4-star S
Mobile, AL
Also part of last weekend's recruiting surge and the second Alabama addition in the same day, Jaylen Scott is the No. 14 safety in the class and was committed twice before to Florida State and Auburn.
Elija Harmon
4-star DL
Inglewood, CA
Elija Harmon is the No. 29 defensive lineman in the class and will join a position group that continues to produce stars at OU.
Mikhail McCreary
4-star CB
San Antonio, TX
Mikhail McCreary was OU's first defensive commitment back in September as the No. 35 cornerback in the class.
Jamison Roberts
4-star QB
Saraland, AL
Jamison Roberts was another quarterback gem that OU offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle found before most others and benefitted from the early offer with a commitment. Roberts was recently upgraded to four stars and is the No. 22 QB in the class after just one season as a starter.
Deven Robertson
3-star DL
Hattiesburg, MS
Deven Robertson announced his commitment to the Sooners during the Navy All-American Bowl in January as the No. 48 defensive lineman in the class.
Greydon Howell
3-star ATH
Broken Bow, OK
Greydon Howell is so athletic it seems unreal as Broken Bow High School's quarterback, while also excelling in baseball, basketball and track. Recruiting experts say Howell could play quarterback, running back, wide receiver and safety at the college level, but he'll likely be at receiver for the Sooners.
Mikyal Davis
3-star CB
Goodyear, AZ
Mikyal Davis was another underrated find by the Sooners as the No. 54 cornerback in the class who could soon climb up recruiting ranks.
Luke Wilson
3-star OT
Southlake, TX
Luke Wilson was the first piece of this No. 1 recruiting class when he became the initial commit way back on Aug. 7. He's the No. 47 offensive tackle in the class.
Tra'Von Hall
3-star WR
Tuscaloosa, AL
Tra'Von Hall was yet another prospect the Sooners offered before really getting noticed by other major programs, including the Alabama Crimson Tide in his hometown. His offers continue to grow as the No. 71 wide receiver, but the Sooners' early belief in him has paid off so far.
Jaxsen Stokes
3-star RB
Chatsworth, CA
Jaxsen Stokes committed to former OU running backs coach DeMarco Murray, but has remained loyal to the Sooners as the No. 47 RB in the class.
Tyson Ross
3-star IOL
Andover, KS
Tyson Ross committed shortly after his future quarterback as Bill Bedenbaugh's fourth offensive line addition to the class. He's the No. 41 interior offensive line in the class, but also has experience at tackle as a versatile player.
