Growing up an OU fan, Diego has always loved sports since he was a child. He developed an interest in writing in high school and decided to pursue sports writing as a career. Since then, he has about 7 years in writing and media experience. He started when he was a sophomore in high school and joined his high school paper. He became sports editor of the paper and helped it win best newspaper in the state from Oklahoma Scholastic Media two years in a row. He also has received numerous personal awards for his work with the paper. He was a part of the 2013 broadcast team that broadcasted the OU vs. OKST softball game as the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. After graduation in 2014, Diego joined the Stormin' In Norman and was on staff for a year, then left to pursue other ventures. He was also a contributor for Heartland College Sports, with his most notable work being when he interviewed former Oklahoma quarterback and 2003 Heisman winner Jason White in 2015 for a Q&A. In 2016, he was a sport stringer covering high school sports for the Tahlequah Daily Press in Tahlequah, OK.Currently, he is working to get a degree in Media Studies and is back as a contributor for Stormin' In Norman.
