It sounds like a broken record at this point, but the Oklahoma Sooners are in the mix for yet another elite offensive line prospect.
Four-star offensive tackle Koehn Dial on Tuesday revealed his top 6 school options that included OU, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, LSU and Vanderbilt. Dial made this announcement just the day after OU hosted R’Monie Edwards, the No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2028 class, for a visit.

Dial is just now finishing up his sophomore year of high school, but he already has the size to compete in SEC trenches today at a massive 6-foot-8 and 294 pounds. Rivals ranks Dial as the No. 16 offensive tackle in the 2028 class and the No. 223 overall prospect. He's also the No. 7 player in the state of Tennessee from Battle Ground Academy.
His other offers he narrowed down from included Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Ole Miss, UCF, SMU and more. The Sooners extended their offer on June 1, 2025, while Dial was in Norman on a visit.
Rivals' predictions on Dial's destination are split right now mostly between OU and Georgia, which offered him about a year before the Sooners did. That early belief in Dial is currently paying off for Georgia, with Rivals leaning in the Bulldogs' favor with a 46.1% confidence level. OU's is at 40.3%. It's still early in the process, though, even if Dial already narrowed down his options.
The Sooners' early push for Dial and Edwards can get fans excited that this 2028 haul could rival what they've assembled for 2027. OU has the No. 1 2027 recruiting class in the country with 20 total commits so far, and that's in large thanks to five stellar offensive linemen that's headlined by five-star offensive tackles Cooper Hackett and Kaeden Penny, as well as three-star interior offensive lineman Isaac Coughran, three-star OT Luke Wilson and three-star IOL Tyson Ross.
