The Oklahoma Sooners will bring in an entire offensive front from the 2027 recruiting class.

Rivals' Hayes Fawcett reported on Tuesday that three-star interior offensive lineman Isaac Coughran committed to OU as the Sooners' fifth addition to the offensive line from the 2027 class.

Isaac Coughran becomes Sooners' 5th OL commitment for Bill Bedenbaugh

According to the 247Sports Composite, Coughran, listed at 6-foot-4 and 295 pounds, is the No. 31 IOL in the 2027 class and No. 72 prospect in the state of Texas out of Katy High School. He chose the Sooners over other offers from Arizona, Baylor, Houston, Rutgers, Washington State and several Group of Six programs.

Coughran also has experience at offensive tackle, but his lack of length at 6-foot-4 will likely have him playing interior at the college level. Regardless, he's the type of versatile offensive lineman that OU general manager Jim Nagy likes to hunt for since they can solve multiple problems, especially as depth pieces.

The Sooners' offensive line count from the 2027 class reached five with Coughran's decision. Three-star offensive tackle Luke Wilson was OU's first commit overall from the 2027 class last summer. The group then reached new heights in a day when five-star offensive tackles Cooper Hackett and Kaeden Penny, both Oklahoma natives, committed within moments of each other. Most recently, three-star interior offensive lineman Tyson Ross pledged to OU earlier this month.

And that might not even be the end of offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh's 2027 haul. Four-star offensive tackle Brian Swanson also has OU in his top 8 as he nears a decision. Four-star interior offensive lineman Gus Corsair is also predicted to choose the Sooners. However, this overcrowding could also lead others to jump ship.

Of the five OL commits so far, Coughran and Wilson are tied as the third-highest rated recruits after Hackett and Penny. Coughran and Penny are both ranked as the No. 531 national prospect based on the 247Sports Composite with ratings of 0.880.

Bedenbaugh's stellar run is the biggest influence in the Sooners' having the best 2027 recruiting class in college football, and Coughran making the count an even 20 total commits only cushions OU's lead at the top of recruiting rankings.
