All of a sudden, there's just one week left in the college softball regular season before the postseason starts with the SEC Softball Tournament next week in Lexington, Kentucky. The SEC has proven all season to be the deepest conference in the country and the postseason will put that on display.

Here's the SEC pecking order before everyone gets to prove themselves in Lexington.

The Sooners have taken full control of the SEC and all of college softball heading into the last week of the regular season. OU just swept Georgia in a top-15 series and will conclude its regular season with a trip to Texas A&M for the Sooners' fourth series in a row against a top-15 team. Another series win would make the Sooners undeniable favorites in the postseason as regular-season SEC champions (again).

Alabama just dropped a series to surging Tennessee, but the Crimson Tide also have series wins over Texas and Arkansas below them. That series loss wasn't worth the Tide falling, but it should at least erase any argument that they belong on top ahead of OU since the two teams haven't went head-to-head.

Texas just swept Kentucky and continues to dominate everyone but OU and Bama this season. However, the Longhorns will have to prove their worth of this No. 3 spot with a series against Arkansas this weekend.

The Razorbacks have a massive opportunity this weekend with a trip to Texas after taking two of three from Missouri last weekend. A poor showing against the Longhorns, though, could give reason for Arkansas to drop below Florida or Tennessee next week.

Florida stays put after a week of nonconference competition that included a loss to Florida State and two wins over UCF. That slip-up to Florida State, although a top-10 team, might have been worth the Gators dropping a spot if they didn't already have a series win over Tennessee.

Tennessee, the once No. 1 team in the country, might be back after swiping a series from Alabama. The Vols still, though, are recovering from series losses to Florida and Ole Miss. Regardless, especially with its pitching, this Tennessee team will be dangerous in the postseason.

The Aggies' nine-game winning streak came to a halt over the weekend with a series loss to South Carolina. Next, Texas A&M hosts Oklahoma, so could go from the hottest team to the coldest heading into the SEC Tournament.

Georgia didn't seem to belong on the same diamond as the Sooners in a series sweep, but the Bulldogs still don't deserve to fall any further because OU has made most opponents look bad this season. It doesn't get much easier for Georgia, though, with Florida next.

Mississippi State took the first two games over LSU to deserve another spot up over the Tigers with in-state rival Ole Miss next.

LSU was knocked down a peg by Mississippi State and could be even further with a loss to Auburn this weekend.

South Carolina is a solid team and proved that with a series win over Texas A&M last weekend. That was just the Gamecocks' second SEC series win, though, after beating Missouri the week before.

Missouri has some solid single wins, but is struggling to win entire series and has been hovering at .500 all season. The Tigers even stole one from Arkansas this past weekend, but still lost the series.

Ole Miss got its spot back at No. 13 after winning two over Auburn. The Rebels also got a boost from Tennessee's massive series win against Alabama.

Auburn finally got to move up a spot last week, but then got knocked right back down with a series loss to Ole Miss. The Tigers finish their regular season against LSU.

It sounds like a broken record, but Kentucky is no doubt the worst team in the conference. The Wildcats at least get a weekend off before the SEC Tournament.
