Both Blaylock brothers will now even have the same OU DNA.

Three-star cornerback Trenton Blaylock, the brother of Oklahoma sophomore running back Tory Blaylock, confirmed on Monday his commitment to the Sooners' 2027 class after taking his official visit to Norman over the weekend. Just a few days ago, it seemed unlikely that the brothers would end up on the same roster.

Trenton Blaylock joins brother Tory Blaylock after Jim Nagy hints at sudden commit for Sooners

According to the 247Sports Composite, Blaylock is the No. 62 cornerback in the 2027 class and No. 80 overall player in the state of Texas out of Humble Atascocita High School. He has an impressive list of offers that includes Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt and more.

The Sooners had been in that race for Blaylock since last June and had an obvious advantage with his older brother already on campus. And Tory had made it known he was helping out in the Sooners' recruiting efforts for his younger brother.

However, despite having his brother in Blaylock's ear, the Sooners still looked like they might lose the younger sibling. Rivals had Blaylock most likely headed to Vanderbilt before this past weekend. He had also already taken an official visit last week to Texas and had one planned to Arkansas this weekend.

But after his official visit, that prediction suddenly swung in OU's favor. Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman logged a prediction for OU to earn Blaylock's commitment shortly after his visit ended. Blaylock also used a post on X to drop a hint at what could be coming.

Blaylock was revealed to be the mysterious 25th commitment that OU general manager Jim Nagy hinted was coming the night before as the Sooners still sat at 24 total commits then after adding two others from the weekend of official visits in wide receiver Malahn Green and interior offensive lineman Jaxon Lawler.

"Our entire OU football staff is grateful for all the players and families who spent the weekend in Norman," Nagy wrote in his post on X. "Finding the right people to do life with is the OU Way. It's special to be a Sooner and we've now added 25 new Sooners in Class of 2027! BOOMER!"

Blaylock is also the fourth corner added to the 2027 group while joining newly update five-star Gabriel Osborne Jr., four-star Mikhail McCreary and three-star Mikyal Davis. Based on the 247Sports Composite, Blaylock is the lowest-ranked recruit of the bunch.
