If OUDNA doesn't convince 2027 three-star cornerback Trenton Blaylock to be a Sooner, then his own DNA should.
The Oklahoma Sooners are in a race with multiple SEC schools to land Blaylock, but they have a massive advantage no one else does: family. Trenton's older brother, Tory, signed with the Sooners just over a year ago as part of the 2025 class before breaking out as a freshman running back and leading OU in rushing yards.
Sooners after Tory Blaylock's brother, Trenton Blaylock
Earlier this week, Sam Spiegelman of Rivals posted via X that OU, Texas, Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Texas A&M are in the mix to land Trenton, and an OU fan used that post to make sure Tory is doing his part to put the Sooners at the front of that race. Tory replied, "Let me see what I can do."

The Blaylock Family has connections all over college football. Their dad, Derrick, played running back at Stephen F. Austin before a six-year NFL career. Today, he trains top high school athletes, including his sons. The oldest son, Travian, was a defensive back for Wisconsin in 2018-23, and Taylen just finished his college career as a defensive back between Lindenwood, Sam Houston State and Furman. Tory is the only running back like his father and also the only one still in college for Trenton to join.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Trenton is the No. 44 cornerback in the 2027 class out of Atascocita High School in Humble, Texas, where his brother also came from as a consensus four-star prospect. Trenton's list of reported offers includes Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and more.
Trenton was a frequent visitor to Norman in 2025 to watch his brother play, but hasn't had a reported visit to Oklahoma yet. However, Trenton just posted via X on Thursday that OU head coach Brent Venables and assistant defensive backs coach Xavier Brewer visited him at his high school.

The Sooners already have a history of bringing in siblings under Venables, including Peyton and Eli Bowen, who both started in OU's secondary in 2025. Michael and Maliek Hawkins were also both on the 2025 roster before transferring to West Virginia together this offseason. OU running back Gabe Sawchuk also followed his brother, Gavin, to Norman before Gavin transferred last year.
