The Oklahoma Sooners are inching closer to having another pair of sibling stars on their roster.
Trenton Blaylock via X on Friday announced his top 8 school options, including OU, Texas, Tennessee, LSU, TCU, Vanderbilt, Florida State and Alabama. Competing against that loaded list of programs will be a challenge for the Sooners, but they have an advantage no one else does with Blaylock's brother, Tory Blaylock, already being on their roster as a running back.

In the recruiting process, there are a lot of business decisions to make, and they’re not always easy. With that being said, I will be canceling my official visit to the University of Arkansas. Blaylock also mentioned in his announcement that he canceled his upcoming visit to Arkansas while eliminating the Razorbacks. He has an official visit to OU scheduled for June 12, but he's obviously made multiple trips to Norman because of his brother. He also has visits planned for this summer to Vanderbilt (May 28), Texas (June 5) and Florida State (June 19). That means fans shouldn't anticipate a decision before June.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Blaylock, listed at 6-foot-1, is the No. 58 cornerback in the 2027 class and No. 74 prospect in the state of Texas out of Atascocita High School, where his brother also came from as a four-star recruit in 2025.
Tory Blaylock broke out as a freshman last season with 480 rushing yards and four touchdowns while averaging 4.0 yards a carry. His bother following him to Norman would be a good sign that Tory will spend his entire college football career with the Sooners.
There's no denying the Blaylocks have great genetics from their father, Derrick, who was an NFL running back in 2001-07. Both of their older brothers also played college football at Wisconsin and Lindenwood. All of the siblings but Tory play defensive back.

The Sooners currently have two pairs of siblings on the roster in starting defenders Peyton and Eli Bowen, and incoming freshmen Beau and Niko Jandreau, who are twins. OU also had Michael and Maliek Hawkins last season before both transferred to West Virginia together over the offseason.
Blaylock would join a No. 1 2027 recruiting class that already includes two cornerbacks in four-star Mikhail McCreary and three-star Mikyal Davis. Both are ranked ahead of Blaylock based on the 247Sports Composite.
