The Oklahoma Sooners will go without an in-state 2026 commit and a Presley brother.
Bixby, Oklahoma, athlete Braeden Presley, the youngest of three brothers who played college football in the state, committed to Oklahoma State on Thursday after narrowing down his options to OSU, OU, Texas Tech and Kansas State.

Braeden Presley commits to Oklahoma State over Sooners
With no more offers on the table to uncommitted in-state prospects, Presley was the Sooners' final chance at landing an in-state recruit from the 2026 class. OU's current group includes commits from eight different states, but none from the Sooner State.
Three of OU's in-state targets were swiped by its Bedlam rival. First, Jenks running back Kaydin Jones, whose dad, Kejuan, played at OU, created a divided house and chose the Cowboys despite the family ties. Then, last week, Owasso defensive lineman Tajh Overton, who 247Sports ranks as the top recruit in the state, also committed to OSU after including OU in his final choices.
The Sooners also let four-star wide receiver Mason James, from just down the road at Norman North High School, slip away to Washington instead of staying home and playing for the Sooners.
The odds were against the Sooners in landing Presley, though. Both of his older brothers also committed to OSU out of Bixby High School. The oldest, Brennan, just finished his career last season as the Cowboys' all-time leader in receptions. The middle brother, Braylin, transferred to Tulsa after one year in Stillwater. That leaves OU as the only FBS program in the state to never have a Presley on its roster.
Unlike his brothers, who are both wide receivers, Presley plays both ways for Bixby but will likely be a defensive back at the college level. He's also much taller than both of his brothers, listed at 6-foot-2. Both brothers were listed at 5-foot-7.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Presley is the No. 57 safety in the 2026 class and No. 13 overall prospect in the state.
