The Oklahoma Sooners have played against a Presley plenty of times before, but never had one on their side, at least not yet.
In-state 2026 athlete Braeden Presley announced via Instagram that he has narrowed his college choices down to four, including OU, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Texas Tech, and set his commitment date for July 3. Once Presley starts his college football career, wherever that might be, he'll be the third brother from his family to play football at the FBS level, and the other two did so within the state of Oklahoma.
Presley family presence could be felt at every major in-state program, including OU
So far, OU is the only in-state FBS college football program that hasn't included a Presley on its roster. While his brothers were well undersized and both listed at 5-foot-7, Braeden doesn't really have that knock at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds. That extra size could be why OU offered Braeden but neither of his brothers.
The oldest, Brennan, went to Oklahoma State, where he became a fan-favorite and the Cowboys' all-time leader in receptions as an undersized receiver during his five-year career that ended last season. Braylin, also a receiver, then followed Brennan to OSU for just one season before transferring to Tulsa, where he will be a senior this season.
Braeden plays receiver for Oklahoma powerhouse Bixby High School like his brothers, but he's also all over the place for the Spartans. Most of his recruiting interest has been drawn as a defensive back so far. Defensively, Braeden had 39 tackles, three tackles for loss, four interceptions, a forced fumble and recovered a fumble for a 100-yard touchdown last season, according to MaxPreps.
Offensively, Braeden caught 25 passes for 356 yards and four TDs. He rushed for 245 yards and two scores on only 14 carries, averaging 17.5 yards a carry. He also threw a 55-yard touchdown pass at one point.
Braeden is listed as an athlete by 247Sports, while Rivals, On3 and ESPN all rated him as a defensive back. According to the 247Sports Composite, Braeden is the No. 57 safety in the 2026 class and No. 13 overall prospect in the state. Rivals ranks him as the No. 46 cornerback in the class.
The Sooners will get the last word in on Braeden when he takes his official visit this weekend during OU's ChampU BBQ, the Sooners' biggest recruiting event of the year. He already visited Texas Tech back in April, OSU on May 30, Kansas State on June 6 and Arkansas last weekend. He was also in Norman for an unofficial visit in April.
