There are multiple ways Jordan Clay would be a huge win for the Oklahoma Sooners.
Hayes Fawcett of On3 reported Monday that Clay, a towering top-15 wide receiver in the 2026 class, narrowed his college choices down to 10 as official visit season is right around the corner. Clay's top 10 sparks a Red River battle off the field as it includes OU, Texas, Texas A&M, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Stanford, Miami, Baylor, UCLA and Colorado.

Clay has the build that OU's receivers has lacked the last few seasons. A junior at Madison High School in San Antonio, Texas, still with time to grow, Clay is already listed at 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds.
Gabe Brooks of 247Sports wrote in Clay's recruiting profile that he's "Tall, angular wideout with a big base, huge hands, and plus length. Enhances height and frame with acrobatic mid-air ability, displaying body control, timing, dexterity, and competitiveness. Big mitts and ball skills make him strong with the ball as a pass catcher."
Clay is a consensus four-star prospect and the 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 14 wide receiver in the 2026 class. 247Sports is the highest on Clay, ranking him as the No. 8 receiver in the country and No. 15 overall recruit in talent-rich Texas.
The Sooners already have one 2026 receiver committed in four-star Daniel Odom and have also made the top group for several others, but Clay would be the highest-rated receiver pledge for OU if he commits. Also on Monday, OU made the top 5 for receiver Mason James, who is one of the top recruits in Oklahoma from Norman North High School.
OU's 2026 class is up to six players, including Odom, quarterback Jaden O'Neal, tight end Ryder Mix, offensive lineman Will Conroy, linebacker Jakore Smith and safety Niko Jandreau.
It seems the Sooners could have some ground to make up to add Clay to the mix, though. Most recruiting experts are projecting Clay to end up at Baylor, but he still has a lot of options on the table and hasn't started his summer tour of official visits yet.
Clay will visit OU on June 20 during the Sooners' ChampU recruiting weekend. He'll be at Baylor the week before and does not have an official visit scheduled to Texas yet.
