New Oklahoma offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle has to make sure last season's debacle at wide receiver doesn't happen again under his watch, so the Sooners are trying to land another 2026 prospect.

On3 reported Thursday that top-20 wide receiver prospect Jayden Warren has scheduled six official visits for this summer as he inches closer to narrowing down his decision. It puts OU in a recruiting battle with a couple of old Big 12 rivals and getting the challenge of luring an athlete out of his home state over in-state programs.

Four-star receiver Jayden Warren schedules official visits

Warren has visits planned to OU, Nebraska, Texas A&M, TCU, SMU and Houston. The actual date for Warren's trip to OU hasn't been reported yet, but he's already been to Norman twice before, according to On3. He first went to Norman last summer, and OU offered him that same day. He then went back in January.

There's a list of over 30 schools after Warren, including Alabama, Arkansas, Miami, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Texas Tech and more. OU was one of the first Power 4 programs to offer Warren.

Warren, listed at 6-foot-2, is a consensus four-star recruit out of Iowa Colony High School in Texas. Every major recruiting service but 247Sports ranks Warren as a top-20 receiver in the 2026 class, with 247Sports having him at No. 21. Rivals has Warren as high as the No. 17 receiver in the country and No. 16 overall prospect in talent-rich Texas.

Last season as a junior, Warren had 26 catches, 613 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. Over half of his catches resulted in a touchdown.

Warren has also displayed his speed as a track & field star. He just won the Texas District 20-5A 100-meter and 200-meter championships with times of 10.16 and 21.48 seconds, respectively.

The Sooners already have one commit from a receiver in the 2026 class. Four-star prospect Daniel Odom pledged to OU in January, but he does have an official visit to Florida State scheduled for this summer. Warren is ranked above Odom by every major recruiting service.
