No player is ever truly secured in today's college football world, especially when they haven't even gotten to campus yet.
Four-star wide receiver Daniel Odom is reportedly entertaining other offers just a few months after pledging to the Oklahoma Sooners. But a deeper dive will unveil there might be even more moving pieces than that.
Sam Spiegelman of Rivals reported Friday that Florida State and Washington are pushing hard to flip Odom's commitment to the Sooners. Odom has an official visit to OU scheduled, but he will still also visit Florida State and Washington this summer.
"I’m opening my eyes to everybody because there are great opportunities," Odom told Spiegelman.

Odom committed to the Sooners on Jan. 28 to put OU's 2026 recruiting class at four commits, all of which are from the offensive side of the ball. He committed to the Sooners the same day they offered.
Listed at 6-foot-1, Odom is one of the best receivers from the 2026 class out of St. John Bosco in California. He's a consensus four-star prospect according to every major recruiting service. Rivals is the highest on Odom, ranking him as the No. 16 wide receiver in the class. The outlet also ranks Odom as the 17th-best overall prospect in the state.
Odom is a childhood friend of OU four-star quarterback commit Jaden O'Neal, leading many to believe that was a major influence in getting Odom to Norman. However, there has recently also been uneasiness surrounding O'Neal's recruitment despite his recent move from California to Mustang High School in Oklahoma.
O'Neal recently visited Georgia all while OU has been after another quarterback in the 2026 class, four-star Bowe Bentley. If O'Neal really was a big reason in drawing Odom to OU, then the Sooners could lose both recruits if O'Neal heads elsewhere because of a second quarterback commit. Currently, O'Neal and Odom make up half of OU's 2026 class.
