Top QB target visiting Oklahoma
Oklahoma's 2026 quarterback target Bowe Bentley will take his official visit to Norman this weekend. Bentley, a consensus top-10 QB prospect, has narrowed his choices down to OU and LSU, and visited the Tigers last weekend.
The Sooners already have one 2026 QB committed in Jaden O'Neal, so Bentley's visit and looming decision could have a major impact on who's the quarterback of the future at OU with O'Neal entertaining other options.
Transfer portal movement for softball
It's officially transfer portal season for college softball.
The Sooners have lost four players so far to the transfer portal as of Thursday, including catcher Corri Hicks, outfielder Maya Bland, outfielder Hannah Coor and infielder Kadey Lee McKay. You can keep up with all of OU's portal losses here.
Patty Gasso also hinted Thursday during a radio interview on The Ref that the Sooners will also make a few additions from the transfer portal to along with a loaded 2025 freshman class.
"Right now, I don't have a lot to say about it, but you will see movement, and you will be happy with the movement that you're seeing," Gasso said.
OKC Thunder comparisons
With no Sooners playing now, all focus in the state has been shifted toward the Oklahoma City Thunder as they play the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Finals.
Because of that and general manager Jim Nagy's frequent posts about finding the OU equivalent of certain OKC players, I compared some of the Thunder's biggest stars to players on OU's 2025 football roster, including quarterback John Mateer to NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
