Sooner Magic at WCWS

In a true Sooner Magic moment, Ella Parker delivered a walk-off three-run home run to keep the Oklahoma Sooners in control of winning their fifth straight national championship.

Down to the last out and down two runs, Parker hit her second homer of the game to beat No. 7 Tennessee 4-3 in the No. 2 Sooners' first game of the 2025 Women's College World Series on Thursday.

The Sooners will now get a day off before playing No. 6 Texas at 2 p.m. CT Saturday on ABC.

Sooners get kickoff times

Fall plans are starting to be made.

The SEC on Thursday announced several kickoff times and TV slots for the 2025 college football season, including the Sooners' first three nonconference games and for the Red River Rivalry.

The Sooners will start their season with back-to-back late home games, including against Michigan at 6:30 p.m. CT on Sept. 6 on ABC. Their season opener against Illinois State will be at 5 p.m. CT on Aug. 30 on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.

The Red River Rivalry was scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. CT kick time on Oct. 11 for the second year in a row. Before both schools moved from the Big 12 to the SEC last year, the Red River Rivalry had kicked off at 11 a.m. all but two years between 2008 and 2023.

OU's road to Omaha begins

The Sooners' road to the Men's College World Series in Omaha starts in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, against a familiar foe.

NCAA Baseball Championship play will start for OU against old conference rival Nebraska in the Chapel Hill Regional at 4 p.m. CT Friday. The Sooners earned the 2-seed, while Nebraska, after winning the Big Ten Tournament, got the 3-seed. No. 5 national seed North Carolina is hosting as the top seed and will play 4-seed Omaha first.
