Things are moving fast between 2026 four-star shooting guard Quincy Wadley and the Oklahoma Sooners.

Wadley visited Oklahoma on Wednesday as he's recently emerged as the Sooners' top high school target. OU didn't even offer Wadley until Saturday before getting him on campus only four days later.

Quincy Wadley visits OU with decision looming

The Sooners joined a list of offers that also includes Arizona State, BYU, Cal, Cincinnati, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Maryland, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, Temple, Miami, Providence and Villanova.

Wadley, listed at 6-foot-4, is a consensus top-10 shooting guard in the 2026 class. According to the 247Sports Composite, he's the No. 9 player at his position and No. 52 overall prospect in the class. He's also the No. 6 player in the state of Arizona out of AZ Compass Prep. Wadley is originally from Arlington, Virginia.

Last season in 18 games for AZ Compass Prep, Wadley averaged 11.8 points, 2.1 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals a game. Wadley shines on the defensive end of the court and the biggest knock on him is his shooting ability, especially beyond the arc. Although listed as a shooting guard, Wadley can also man the point.

Wadley's recruitment is obviously coming to a close soon with graduation around the corner. OU was the last visit on his schedule, which is a great sign for Porter Moser and the Sooners to get the final impression after also being his most recent offer. He took a trip to Cincinnati two days before he was in Norman. He also visited Cal back in September.

Wadley would be the Sooners' second high school addition to the 2026-27 roster after four-star power forward Gage Mayfield, who's listed at 6-foot-7 and from Alabama. Mayfield already signed with OU in November.

The Sooners have also brought in four players from the Transfer Portal this offseason and went to the NBA G League to find center Akoldah Gak. Those newcomers with who the Sooners have returning has Moser still needing to fill two roster spots, one of which could be Wadley's soon.
