Duke Miles, after all this time in college basketball, finally made up his mind.

Miles, a guard, entered the transfer portal this offseason after just one season with the Oklahoma Sooners. Miles on Tuesday announced via Instagram that he committed to Texas A&M for what will surely be his final season of college basketball.

The road for Miles to get to Aggieland was a winding one, though.

Duke Miles, after transferring from Oklahoma and decommitting from Virginia, finally chooses Texas A&M

It was assumed Miles was out of eligibility after five years of college basketball at three different programs, but then he entered the transfer portal for another season.

From Montgomery, Alabama, Miles started his career at Troy, where he was his first three seasons and redshirted his third year there while still playing in six games. He then headed to High Point, where he started 27 games and averaged 17.5 points.

Miles got to OU last year and was immediately plugged into the lineup, starting every game last season. He averaged 9.4 points, which was third-best on the team.

After celebrating a Senior Night at Lloyd Noble Center, Miles headed to the portal at the end of the season. He first reportedly committed to the Virginia Cavaliers, but only four days later, he changed his mind. Miles ultimately ended up at Texas A&M, another SEC program, and will likely face his old team next season.

The Aggies beat OU twice this past season. And facing former players in SEC play didn't go well for the Sooners last season. They lost twice to Kentucky at the hands of former Sooner Otega Oweh.

The Sooners have lost four players to the transfer portal since the 2024-25 season ended. Of the four, Miles was the only starter and really the only player that contributed last season.

On the flip side, Porter Moser, along with new assistant general manager Trae Young, have added three solid players from the transfer portal to replenish the roster. The Sooners still have two vacant roster spots, so more transfers are likely on the way.
