Although he was nothing but class about it all, new Oklahoma wide receiver Parker Livingstone confirmed what Oklahoma fans already knew in that Texas fans are the opposite of class and can't let anything go, even if the Longhorns caused everything.
Livingstone crossed the Red River this offseason when he transferred from Texas to OU with three years of eligibility left. While speaking to media for the first time on Monday since the move, Livingstone revealed that he's still getting harassed by angry Texas fans on social media.

"Yeah. A lot," Livingstone said with a chuckle when asked about getting hate.
On the ride back home in the Dallas area after committing, Livingstone's mom warned him what was about to happen. His plan was to wait until the next evening to announce his decision himself, but the news broke hours before he expected it to, so he went ahead and posted on social media that he was a Sooner. And a scroll through the comments of his post reveal words that can't be shared on this site.
His post before that was a heartfelt goodbye to Texas fans, which included the line, "Never in a million years did I think I would be going into the portal looking for a new home. Some things are out of my control."
"My mom was like, 'You're about to get so much hate on it,'" Livingstone said.

Other than sharing OU's hire of new tight ends coach Jason Witten on X, Livingstone was forced to avoid social media until he got to OU about two weeks later because of the reaction. He admitted he deleted Instagram and X during that time to ignore all the hate being thrown his way. Even two months later, Livingstone revealed he's still getting messages and tagged on social media by resentful Texas fans.
"It's all talk at the end of the day," Livingstone said. "It is what it is. I mean, it's just two passionate fan bases going at it, and that's happening across the Red River. So, yeah, I think I lean on my parents and my brothers a lot, and definitely my agent. I think I lean on them the most about that kind of situation. But, you know, I'm thankful for my time at Texas. It's a great university, great program, had great players, great coaches. Just didn't work out."

The most mind-boggling part about Texas fans harassing Livingstone for his move is that it was their own program's fault. Livingstone had planned to be a Longhorn forever, but Texas forced Livingstone out and to find a new home.
Needing a new home, Livingstone ultimately decided between OU and defending national champion Indiana. There's no doubt Texas fans would have also trashed Livingstone for joining the best team in the country, so it was a lose-lose situation when dealing with such an ignorant fan base.
Livingstone's deciding factor was to be closer to family and friends in his hometown of Lucas, Texas. It had nothing to do with a rivalry, but mostly the fact it was the closest College Football Playoff contender to home. Oklahoma checked all of Livingstone's boxes, so it was obviously the best choice for him after an involuntary move.
However, the more Texas fans continue to throw shade at Livingstone, the more fuel the new Sooner will have for that second Saturday in October.
