Why wait until the second week of October to troll Texas when there's already the second week of January?

Oklahoma fans rejoiced on Tuesday after the Sooners landed former Texas wide receiver Parker Livingstone out of the Transfer Portal for him to cross the Red River to play the final three seasons of his college football career.

Parker Livingstone move ignites offseason Red River Rivalry feud

According to 247Sports, Livingstone was the No. 16 receiver available in the portal this cycle as a four-star prospect. At only 19 years old, Livingstone caught 29 passes for 516 yards and five touchdowns this season as a freshman. He redshirted in 2024.

Despite the early success and close relationship with quarterback Arch Manning as roommates, the Longhorns seemingly ran Livingstone out of Texas to gift the Sooners a new receiver and motivated Red River weapon that will want revenge.

"Never in a million years did I think I would be going into the portal looking for a new home," Livingstone wrote in his transfer announcement. "Some things are out of my control. Such is the reality of the ever-changing landscape of college football. Emptied my tank every day for this great university, my teammates & all of the good folks of Texas. Grateful."

Texas fans of course deny that's how things went down, but OU and national media have insinuated a similar situation. Regardless, Livingstone finally got to the top side of the Red River and is a Sooner now -- all 6-foot-4 of him. Sooner Nation took advantage of the portal win to not only celebrate, but gloat as Texas fans tried to cope with a loss that will haunt them.

And you can only imagine how they took the news on the other side of the Red River.

Then, just a few moments after the Livingstone news, the Sooners landed defensive end Kenny Ozowalu from UTSA. And guess who over? Texas, where Ozowalu visited right before choosing the Sooners.
