After recently losing out on four-star wide receiver Davian Groce to Florida, the Oklahoma Sooners are down to just three 2026 WR targets that haven't committed elsewhere yet.

According to On3 and Rivals' offer list for OU, the Sooners extended offers to 36 receivers in the 2026 class. Their only commit so far is four-star Daniel Odom, who recently reassured his loyalty to OU.

Only three others from that group are uncommitted. That includes three-star prospects Jaborree Riggins and Allen Blaylock, neither of which look to be headed to Norman. That leaves Delvin Cook Jr., who is predicted to choose the Sooners, but is unrated by On3 and Rivals.

With options dwindling, the Sooners have started looking to flip commits from other programs, including recently Tulane commit Brayden Allen. However, now more than ever, verbal commitments are nearly meaningless until signing day in December, so there are still three former highly rated targets the Sooners should look to flip in their favor.

Boobie Feaster

Boobie Feaster, a four-star prospect, is the highest-rated receiver OU offered as the No. 5 WR in the 2026 class, according to On3 and Rivals. From DeSoto, Texas, Feaster ultimately chose to head west to play for Lincoln Riley at USC.

Some of OU's recent recruiting woes have stemmed from Brent Venables being on the hot seat. That obviously didn't matter to Feaster, though, since Riley also is. However, if Venables turns things around early this season in Norman and Riley still has the Trojans plummeting, Feaster should start looking elsewhere. The Sooners also have the benefit of being much closer to home than Los Angeles.

Also, although he denies it, there were also recent reports that Feaster will soon visit Oklahoma, showing this plan could already be in motion.

Mason James

Mason James might be the Sooners' most glaring loss of the class. Not only is he a four-star recruit and top prospect in Oklahoma, James is from right in Norman as a senior at Norman North High School. Yet, James chose to go all the way to Washington (for now).

The Sooners still have the benefit of being James' hometown team, which is an unmatched recruiting pitch. Washington could still also struggle in Year 2 in the Big Ten, while the Sooners rise in the SEC. And if it is a big season for the Sooners, it would be a literal constant influence on James.

Jayden Warren

Jayden Warren is a four-star recruit from Rosharon, Texas, who committed to Houston. Ultimately, this just comes down to OU should be able to out-recruit a lowly Big 12 program like Houston to land a talent clearly good enough to play for a better program.
