Breathe.

After all the worry and doubt the last few weeks, Michael Fasusi stuck with his original commitment and signed with Oklahoma on Wednesday after during Early National Signing Day.

Fasusi put pen to paper during a ceremony in his hometown of Lewisville, Texas, on Wednesday afternoon. He was the last of OU's 2025 commits to officially sign with the program after everyone else did so before lunchtime once the early signing period started early in the morning.

A consensus five-star offensive tackle, Fasusi, listed at 6-foot-5 and 299 pounds, is OU's highest-rated signee in the 2025 class. Rivals and ESPN rank him as the No. 2 offensive tackle in the entire class.

There was worry if Fasusi would actually end up in Norman despite his comitment in August. Texas and Texas A&M have recently pushed hard to flip Fasusi despite his comitment to an SEC rival. Both were included in his final seven school choices.

Fasusi visited Texas two weeks ago when the Longhorns beat Kentucky. He actually cancelled a trip to Norman to make that visit and missed out on witnessing the Sooners upset then-No. 7 Alabama.

Then last week, Fasusi was in College Station to watch Texas A&M and Texas renew their rivalry in the most anticipated game of the week.

The doubt of OU actually securing Fasusi only grew when he was the last one to sign and the rest of his teammates did so first thing in the morning. Brent Venables even hosted his signing day press conference at 11 a.m. before Fasusi signed, leading some to speculate if that meant OU's class was complete at that point.

Venables revealed a glimmer of hope, though, when he mentioned that OU had signed four offensive linemen "right now." However, Venables could not specifically talk about Fasusi until he signed and was officially a Sooner. Fasusi's impact and his recruiting process will probably be a question Venables is asked during his next press conference after the Sooners learn their bowl destination.

"This is a mature group of guys that really believe they're going to be able to come into a really good young group of offensive linemen and going to make an impact, going to make us better," Venables said during the signing day press conference. "No developmental, quote on quote, type of guys in that group. This is a group of guys that really can line up and play football for us right away once they understand the language and those type of things."

With Fasusi's addition, the Sooners' 2025 class is complete with 18 signees, plus a pair of walk-ons. That's OU's smallest recruiting class during the 21st century because of possible roster limits looming and OU having little turnover with such a young roster.
