Should Oklahoma be worried about losing Michael Fasusi?

All of Oklahoma's 2025 commits signed to officially become a Sooner by lunchtime of Early National Signing Day on Wednesday, except for one.

Michael Fasusi announced Tuesday night that his signing ceremony will not be until 2 p.m. Wednesday from Lewisville, Texas. Fasusi is OU's top-rated commit from the 2025 class as a consensus five-star offensive tackle. But there's been some doubt if he'll ever actually get to Norman.

Fasusi warned that his signing wouldn't come first thing in the morning like most, but the Sooners should still be worried until the afternoon. Despite his commitment, there's still no for sure where Fasusi will send his paperwork to.

Not to overanalyze a social media post, but when Fasusi posted when he would be signing, there was no mention of OU or even a hashtag that referenced his potential future team.

The doubt surrounding Fasusi started when Texas coach Steve Sarkisian attended one of Fasusi's games during the Longhorns' bye week. It was a game Brent Venables and Bill Bedenbaugh were also in attendance for. That's when multiple reports surfaced that Texas and Texas A&M, which were included in Fasusi's top schools, were still pursuing Fasusi despite his commitment.

Fasusi then visited Texas during its win over Kentucky two weeks ago. He actually cancelled a trip to Norman, when the Sooners upset Alabama, to make the visit. He was then at Texas A&M last week when the Aggies hosted Texas.

OU fans have been somewhat relieved about Fasusi's commitment, though, as he continues to share things on social media about the Sooners, including the hire of offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle from Washington State. However, all of those were reposts and Fasusi's post that read "It's Sooner for life," within the past few weeks has since been deleted.

Venables had a press conference at 11 a.m. to talk and answer questions about OU's 2025 signing class. It's against the rules for Venables to talk about commits until they're officially signed, so he couldn't specifically mention Fasusi or his anticipated signing. Venables acted as if the Sooners' class was complete with 18 signees and a pair of preferred walk-ons, however, he did mention OU had four offensive line signees "right now."

There is more pointing toward Fasusi sticking to his initial pledge, but during a time with more chaos than ever in recruiting, there is no guarantee for the Sooners to land Fasusi and there's still reason for worry until it's official.
