There wasn't anything this week was missing for Sooner Nation.

The Oklahoma Sooners' football team kicked off spring practices, the women's basketball team tipped off March Madness, the men's basketball team got two massive wins and the softball team remained undefeated.

Here are the top storylines from a loaded week for the Sooners.

OU men's basketball keeps NCAA Tournament chances alive

The Sooners could still go dancing for the first time under head coach Porter Moser in his fourth season.

First, OU upset No. 15 Missouri 96-84 on Wednesday night in Norman for its best win of the season. The Tigers were the highest-ranked team OU has beaten this season. Then, the Sooners beat Texas 76-72 in their regular-season finale on Saturday night in Austin.

With the top-15 upset and win against the Longhorns, ESPN's Joe Lunardi said OU should need just one win in the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament to get into the NCAA Tournament. The Sooners got the 14 seed in their first SEC tournament and will get a rematch against 11 seed Georgia on Wednesday night.

OU women make run to SEC Women's Basketball Tournament semifinals

In their first appearance in the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament, the fifth-seeded OU women got all the way to the semifinals before losing to top seed South Carolina 93-75 on Saturday.

The Sooners' tournament run started Thursday with a 70-52 win against Georgia in the second round after a first-round bye. OU then avenged an earlier loss to Kentucky with a 69-65 win over the 4 seed Wildcats on Friday.

OU is a lock to get into the NCAA Tournament and will likely get to host games in Normas as a top-4 seed.

OU softball last undefeated team standing

The No. 1 OU softball team beat No. 10 South Carolina 10-9 on Friday night at Love's Field in the Sooners' SEC opener. It was also a battle of the only unbeaten college softball teams left, leaving the Sooners as the last one standing at 20-0. South Carolina dropped to 20-1.

Saturday's game was rescheduled, creating a doubleheader for Sunday with first pitch scheduled for 1:30 p.m. CT.

Football is back (for now)

The Sooners started spring football on Thursday to turn the page from a 6-7 2024 season. OU also announced it was following the college football trend and canceling its annual spring game and replacing with the new Crimson Combine on April 12.

Sooner Nation also got to hear from new quarterback John Mateer and new general manager Jim Nagy for the first time on Wednesday before spring ball started. Brent Venables also talked to media and dropped the quote of the year when asked about why he decided to run the Sooners' defense this season.

"Why am I going to call the defense? Because I'm good at it. And I'm confident in it and we've got a great staff," Venables said.
