Vegas isn't giving the Oklahoma women's basketball team much of a chance to take down the UConn Huskies in their Sweet 16 matchup.
The 3-seed Sooners will play the 2-seed Huskies on Saturday in Spokane, Washington, in the NCAA Tournament, and UConn is predicted by most to make back-to-back trips to the Elite Eight.
UConn opened as a 14.5-point favorite against OU. That's the second-largest margin of the Sweet 16 matchups behind 1-seed South Carolina being an early 17.5-point favorite over 4-seed Maryland on Friday.
If the odds hold, it would be UConn taking on the winner of 1-seed USC and 5-seed Kansas State on Monday, with that winner going to the Final Four. The odds for USC and K-State have been delayed, though, after USC star player JuJu Watkins tore her ACL against Mississippi State on Monday night.
This is the Sooners' first trip to the Sweet 16 since 2013, while the Huskies have made it this far every NCAA Tournament since 1994. Neither history nor current records are in OU's favor on Saturday.
This season, UConn is 33-3 behind Paige Bueckers, who has become a college basketball staple and is one of the best players in the country while averaging 19.2 points a game. The Huskies' only losses this season were to Notre Dame, USC and Tennessee, all of which made the Sweet 16. UConn hasn't lost since losing to Tennessee on Feb. 6.
The Sooners are 27-7 and led by junior center Raegan Beers, who averages 17.5 points a game. One of OU's biggest wins this season was over Tennessee, 87-86.
To get this far, OU hammered 6-seed Iowa 96-62 in the second round on Monday. UConn dismantled 7-seed South Dakota State 91-57 the same day.
