Oklahoma made short work of three opponents in the NCAA Norman Regional to advance to Super Regionals, which will be held this weekend and again hosted by the No. 2 overall Sooners.

The Sooners (48-7) defeated California for a second straight day and nearly by the same victory margin, defeating the Bears 12-1 on Sunday to complete a three-game sweep of its regional opponents with all three games decided by run-rule.

Now top-seeded Sooners power way to NCAA Norman Regional championship

The SEC regular-season champions and tournament co-champions put on a power display on Sunday, with four different Sooners clearing the fences. Gabbie Garcia and Ailana Agbayani homered in the second inning to give OU a 4-0 lead, and Kasidi Pickering and Ella Parker hit balls out of the park as part of an eight-run fourth-inning explosion. Parker's was a monster 285-foot solo blast.

Senior Sam Landry, Isabella Smith and Paytn Monticelli combined on a two-hitter in Sunday's regional championship win.

Oklahoma outscored the opposition 31-3 in earning its 15th consecutive NCAA regional championship. Fourteen of the 15 have been won with the Sooners serving as the host team.

OU jumped on Boston University, its opening-round opponent on Friday, scoring five runs in the second inning and cruised from there to an 8-0 win in five innings. Starter Sam Landry and Kiersten Deal combined on a three-hit shutout, posting seven strikeouts and just one base on balls

The Sooners faced California on Saturday. The Bears advanced to the winner's side of the bracket by defeating Omaha 1-0 in the opening game on Friday. Oklahoma opened the scoring on a leadoff solo home run by Pickering and scored four more times in the second on three singles and a hit batter to take a 5-1 lead. California's run came on a game-tying home run by Kaylee Pond in the top of the inning.

That was merely the beginning, however, of OU's offensive onslaught. The Sooners put six more runs on the board in the fourth inning to go up 11-2 and put the game in run-rule territory. Garcia hit a two-run blast to start things off. Then later in the inning, Pickering unloaded another bomb over the left-center field fence for a grand slam to put the game out of reach.

With the regional championship win, Oklahoma advanced to Super Regionals for the 15th consecutive season. The last 13 of those 15 seasons the Sooners have hosted the Super Regional.

OU's 2025 Super Regional opponent will be No. 15 overall seed Alabama. The best-of-three series will start Friday at Love's Field in Norman. The Sooners lost two of three to Alabama in mid-April, scoring just seven runs total in the three games. That series was played at Alabama.
