The Oklahoma Sooners went back to the fridge and grabbed another Beer(s) from the portal.
Hayes Fawcett of On3 reported on Monday that Colorado State transfer tight end Rocky Beers committed to the Sooners for his final year of college football after recently visiting Norman. Beers' sister, Raegan, is already a Sooner as a star on the OU women's basketball team, which led many to believe Rocky Beers would also end up in Oklahoma when he entered the portal with the Sooners needing multiple tight ends. Conveniently, Beers got to watch his sister get an SEC win at Lloyd Noble Center during his visit.

Beers has just as much potential as his sister to be a breakout star for the Sooners with obviously great genetics at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds. Their brother, Rowdy, also played tight end at Florida International.
This past season, Beers led the Rams and also broke a Colorado State single-season record with seven receiving touchdowns. He caught 31 passes for 388 yards. He was named Second-Team All-Mountain West and a Second-Team Group of Five All-American by Hero Sports Group.
Beers started his college career at Air Force for two years in 2021 before transferring to Florida International for two seasons, then playing at Colorado State in 2025.

Tight end was the Sooners' most glaring need heading into this portal cycle, and additions to the position now also include a new tight ends coach after Joe Jon Finley was fired last week. Even without a coach leading the position, though, OU has still managed to land two tight ends already with Beers and Florida transfer Hayden Hansen, who was the Sooners' first 2026 transfer commit on Sunday. Both additions are also much more productive players than any player Finley added from the portal last year.
Beers was also the Sooners' second commitment of the day from Colorado State, coming just moments after running back Lloyd Avant.
