The Oklahoma Sooners could have another Beer(s).
Pete Nakos of On3 reported on Monday that Colorado State tight end Rocky Beers, who's the brother of OU women's basketball star center Raegan Beers, plans to enter the Transfer Portal once it officially opens on Jan. 2.
Rocky Beers, brother of Raegan Beers, expected to enter Transfer Portal
Raegan Beers also got to OU via the Transfer Portal from Oregon State in 2024. She's been a massive addition to Jennie Baranczyk's program since. Raegan Beers, listed at 6-foot-4, was First-Team All-SEC and an All-American honorable mention last season. She's on her way to similar honors this season while averaging 18.1 points and 10.8 rebounds through 12 games. Both averages are better than last season so far.
Rocky Beers, a redshirt senior, has one year of eligibility left after three previous stops at Air Force, Florida International and Colorado State, respectively. He broke out this season for Colorado State with 31 receptions for 388 yards and a team-high and program record seven touchdowns. Size also runs in the family to make Rocky Beers a great target in the end zone and SEC ready at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds.

The Sooners could be in the market for tight end talent this transfer cycle and it's a position that usually has little options in the portal. OU had seven tight ends on its 2025 roster and converted linebacker Jaren Kanak is the only senior losing eligibility, but he was also by far the most productive. However, with the way things work now, at least one tight end will likely end up in the portal, especially after most didn't get much opportunity this season.
Last year when in need of players, OU tight ends coach Joe Jon Finley raided the Group of Five level for additions to the position. Rocky Beers has been far more productive at his previous stop than any of last year's additions, though, and at 6-foot-5 with prior connections to Oklahoma, he should be a target for Finley this cycle.
