Temple gives OU bulletin board material
In what could have been a trap game sandwiched between two massive games for the Oklahoma Sooners, Temple head coach K.C. Keeler gifted the Sooners some bulletin board material to make sure the Owls are not overlooked.
First, during his weekly press conference, Keeler put a target on OU quarterback John Mateer when asked about his dual-threat ability, saying, "When he pulls the ball down and becomes a running back, he has to pay the price.”
Then, trying to find his own bulletin board material, Keeler took offense to local media not asking OU head coach Brent Venables about Temple. There was also an instance before the presser when a hot mic picked up a conversation between reporters referring to the environment in Philadelphia like a high school game or a bowl game."
"I think when people kind of went through their schedule and looking at the number of wins, I’m sure Temple was just a simple, ‘Yeah, check that one off,'" Keeler said. "I don’t think we see it that way.”
Fire me up KC Keeler!

Baker Mayfield jab
However, the Owls were taking jabs at the Sooners even before their coach was.
Temple posted a picture that was a reference to the movie "Twisters," which was set in Oklahoma. But in the corner, barely noticeable, was Baker Mayfield's infamous mugshot. The Owls got spooked, though, because they deleted the post after Sooner Nation took notice and made it go viral.
It looks like Temple deleted the post that included Baker Mayfield’s mugshot. The Owls got spooked, but that doesn’t mean it’s forgotten. pic.twitter.com/WY0JIO8wLn
