The Oklahoma Sooners got bulletin board material from *checks notes* the Temple Owls.

The No. 13 Sooners will head to Philadelphia this week to play Temple at 11 a.m. CT Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles. Ahead of the matchup, although they're already grossly overmatched, the Owls posted a picture that mimicked the theme of the movie "Twisters," which was set in Oklahoma. There was no real jab with that, but in the corner of the picture, almost unnoticed, Temple included the infamous mugshot of OU legend Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield was arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, fleeing and resisting arrest in 2017 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. That was ahead of Mayfield's final season at OU, during which he won the Heisman Trophy and emerged as the No. 1 overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft. It was a rare mistake for someone who's more beloved than anyone else by Sooner Nation.

OU can't return the favor and mock one of Temple's great players since there aren't any. The Owls have never had a Heisman Trophy winner. However, a jab at the Sooners is just more fuel for a team that could already run up the score against Temple.

The Sooners will get to Philly as an undefeated top-15 team from the SEC. OU hosted Temple for last year's season opener and hammered the Owls 51-3. The Sooners have gotten much better since then, so it was already likely going to be a blowout in front of the Owls' few fans.

It's mind-boggling why the Owls would poke a bear that could already maul them. It was probably the social media team behind it all, but it will be the football team paying the price if the Sooners' locker room gets a glimpse of it.

Although the shot was tiny, Sooner Nation immediately noticed it and warned Temple what was ahead.
