For the first time in the 2025 college football season, the Oklahoma Sooners will leave Norman.

Fresh off a massive 23-13 win over then-No. 15 Michigan, the No. 13 Sooners will travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Saturday to play the 2-0 Temple Owls, who have thumped UMass and Howard. Traveling to play a team like Temple seems odd for a program like OU, but the Sooners will still play in a compelling venue at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the reigning Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles.

It will also be the Sooners' first early game after starting the season with back-to-back late kicks.

How to watch Oklahoma Sooners vs. Temple Owls

Who are the announcers for Oklahoma vs. Temple?

Despite a lackluster early matchup, the Sooners actually received a solid crew from ESPN, minus a former Texas football player. Roy Philpott will do play-by alongside with Sam Acho, who played linebacker for the Longhorns in 2007-10, so if you hear Arch Manning talk, that's why. Marilyn Payne will be on the sidelines.

What is the series history between Oklahoma and Temple?

The Sooners hold a 3-1 advantage all-time against Temple, with the lone loss being the last they traveled to Philadelphia way back in 1942. Most recently, the Sooners destroyed the Owls 51-3 in the 2024 season opener in Norman. Boy, has a lot changed since then, though, with both teams a lot better in 2025.

Philadelphia weather on Saturday

The forecast for Philadelphia on Saturday is a high of 82 degrees and low of 60. The temperature is projected to be about 77 degrees for the early kickoff. For comparison, the high in Norman on Saturday is 89 degrees, so the Sooners will get a little break from the heat.

There's also no chance of rain or severe weather in Philadelphia.

What are the current odds for Oklahoma vs. Temple?

As of Friday, FanDuel, DraftKings and BetMGM had Oklahoma as a 23.5-point favorite, which had held steady since the start of the week. That shows Vegas expects the Sooners to leave Philly with an easy victory.

FanDuel also put the over/under at 51.5 points. Through two games, the Sooners have yet to go over.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
