Sooners rolling in SEC Softball Tournament

Top-seeded Oklahoma handled LSU 4-1 in its SEC Softball Tournament debut on Thursday. Ace Sam Landry dealt a one-hitter in the victory and was five outs away from notching the first solo no-hitter in SEC tournament history.

Next, OU will play Arkansas in the semifinals at 3 p.m. CT Friday on ESPN2. The Sooners swept Arkansas earlier this season so will need to beat the Razorbacks a fourth time to advance to Saturday's championship game.

If the Sooners survive, the championship game will be at 4 p.m. CT Saturday on ESPN.

First-time matchup for OU baseball

For the first time ever, OU and Kentucky will meet on a baseball diamond this weekend.

The Sooners will travel to Kentucky for a three-game series that will start at 4:30 p.m. CT Friday. It will be OU's last road trip of the season before hosting No. 1 Texas for the Red River Rivalry next weekend.

OU football recruiting whirlwind

It's been nonstop movement for the Sooners on the football recruiting trail.

This week, Brent Venables and his staff have been dishing out offers left and right. The Sooners also made the top group for several 2026 defenders, including three-star safety Niko Jandreau, four-star defensive lineman Brian Harris and three-star linebacker Mason Marden.

The Sooners are still after their first defensive commit for the 2026 class. So far, OU has four 2026 commits and all are on the offensive side of the ball.
