Finebaum roasts Lincoln
Completely unprompted, SEC analyst Paul Finebaum went off and absolutely roasted Lincoln Riley on Tuesday as a guest on the "Dari Nowkhah Show" on KREF. Finebaum's segment as a guest was actually ending before he said he had one more thing to say and went on his rant.
"I can't think of anybody whose coaching has been more fraudulent since his first year with Caleb Williams," Finebaum said. "And I say that as somebody who admired what Lincoln Riley did at OU. I didn't admire the way he left. I really think -- and I know a lot of people are still gnashing teeth in Norman and Oklahoma City and across that state -- but I frankly believe that Sooner Nation is better off today than it would've been had he stayed around, because there is something wrong with this guy, Dari.
"And I know we don't have time, I know we're at the end of the segment, but I did want to close on that note. I am underwhelmed. I can't think of a coach in modern time who's making the kind of money he's making who has done less."
Paul Finebaum, totally unprompted, WENT AFTER Lincoln Riley today on the Dari Nowkhah Show.

OU trying to flip commit
Even though he's already committed to the Northwestern Wildcats, the Sooners made a late offer to three-star linebacker Jacob Curry on Tuesday. Despite his commitment, though, Curry has still announced other offers since and even took an official visit to Louisville, so he's at least still weighing other options as his recruitment heats up.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Curry is the No. 69 safety in the class from Nease High School in Florida. However, Rivals and On3 list him as a linebacker, and he recently jumped to being the No. 39 linebacker in Rivals' rankings.
Sooners get jumpstart on 2027 safety
After making some late offers to the 2026 class, the Sooners are already among frontrunners for 2027 do-it-all athlete Honor Fa'alave-Johnson. Rivals' Adam Gorney reported that OU, Texas, Miami, Oregon and Penn State are early favorites to land Fa'alave-Johnson.
Recruiting experts believe Fa'alave-Johnson has the ability to play four positions at the college level, including safety, cornerback, running back and wide receiver. He's listed on recruiting services as a running back or safety.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Fa'alave-Johnson is the No. 4 safety in the 2027 class and No. 35 overall prospect. Rivals ranks him as the No. 8 running back in the class.
