Michael Fasusi All-American honors

The hype for freshman offensive lineman Michael Fasusi has officially extended beyond Oklahoma, as Fasusi was named to the On3 College Football Preseason True Freshman All-American Team on Tuesday.

Fasusi was the No. 1 signee in the Sooners' 2025 class as the the top offensive tackle in the class and No. 5 overall recruit, according to the 247Sports Composite. Now, Fasusi is battling for a starting spot on the Sooners' offensive line as a true freshman, and at the very least will still be in the rotation.

Jaren Kanak goes viral with dog

OU linebacker-turned-tight end Jaren Kanak and his Dachshund dog, Burger, are everywhere you look on social media and even ESPN's SportsCenter. Kanak took pictures with his dog during OU's media day and college football fans can't get enough of them since he initially posted them on Instagram.

Ronnie Perkins' NFL second chance

The Atlanta Falcons signed former OU defensive end Ronnie Perkins for his second chance at sticking in the NFL.

Thanks to injuries, Perkins has bounced between practice squads since being drafted in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft and most recently played with the UFL's Birmingham Stallions earlier this year. Hopefully, Perkins can stay healthy and get a footing in the NFL this time.

The Falconsโ€™ final preseason game will be against the Dallas Cowboys on Friday.
