Bedlam softball tonight
The Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowgirls meet Wednesday night at Devon Park in Oklahoma City for the only scheduled Bedlam softball game of season now that the rivals are in different conferences.
The No. 3 Sooners are on a three-game winning streak, while the No. 18 Cowgirls just dropped a Big 12 series to Arizona. After the Bedlam matchup, OU will play No. 23 Alabama for a road SEC series this weekend.
The Bedlam matchup earned a primetime slot on ESPN2.
OU baseball struggling
The Sooners are on a four-game losing streak after getting hammered again by Dallas Baptist 9-1 on Tuesday night in Norman. The Patriots were also responsible for the Sooners' first loss of the season after they started 11-0.
OU's losing streak began after getting swept by LSU last weekend at L. Dale Mitchell Park. All of the Sooners' losing streak has happened at home.
The Sooners plummeted nine spots to No. 19 in this week's D1Baseball Top 25 after the sweep to LSU. The blowout to DBU, especially if the Sooners also struggle again this weekend, could drop them from a top-10 team to unranked within two weeks.
Next, the Sooners will host No. 17 Vanderbilt for a three-game series this weekend in Norman.
OU men's gymnastics No. 1
The OU men's gymnastics team on Tuesday earned the top seed in the NCAA Championships.
The NCAA Championships will be April 18-19 at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, starting with qualifying sessions Day 1, then the finals. Qualifying sessions will be on ESPN+, while the finals will be on ESPN2.
The Sooners' qualifying session includes No. 4 Nebraska, No. 5 Penn State, No. 8 Air Force, No. 9 California and No. 12 William & Mary. The top three teams advance to the finals.
It's gonna be a battle, and your Sooners are ready for the fight. https://t.co/eW7MX2nBe0
