Oklahoma general manager Jim Nagy is doing more flipping than a cook at a diner with 24/7 breakfast.
Less than 24 hours after he decommitted from the Wisconsin Badgers, four-star wide receiver Jayden Petit on Thanksgiving Day flipped his commitment to the Sooners less than a week before Early National Signing Day on Wednesday.

This was an anticipated move, especially after Petit officially cut ties with Wisconsin on Wednesday. Multiple recruiting experts then immediately logged predictions for OU to land Petit, with Rivals' Steve Wiltfong logging an expert prediction for Petit to choose the Sooners even before he decommitted.
The Sooners hosted Petit for a visit on Oct. 25, when OU played Ole Miss. Petit also took an official visit to Oklahoma this past summer just before he committed to Wisconsin in June and became the Badgers' No. 1 commit. Petit recently started looking at the Sooners again as Wisconsin has struggled this season, while OU has emerged as a College Football Playoff contender.
Listed at 6-foot-4, Petit is the No. 24 wide receiver in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He just received a massive boost from 247Sports, though, to become the No. 13 wide receiver and No. 93 overall prospect to debut in the top 100. He’s also the No. 12 player in Florida out of St. John Neumann High School in Naples.

Petit became the No. 4 highest-rated commit in the Sooners' 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite, and No. 1 receiver out of four. OU already had commitments from four-star Daniel Odom, three-star Xavier Okwufulueze and three-star Brayden Allen, who flipped from Tulane.
Especially at the receiver position with Petit and Allen, the Sooners have quickly built up their 2026 class thanks to six prospects flipping from another program to OU since October, including three-star safety Markel Ford going from SMU to OU just a day before Petit flipped. The Sooners also flipped four-star running back Jonathan Hatton Jr. from Texas A&M back to their favor this week.
