It's only the end of June, but the Oklahoma Sooners are already spending their weekends trying to tally some wins.

In the midst of official visit season, the Sooners this past weekend hosted their annual ChampU BBQ, OU's biggest annual recruiting event of the year. The guest list for the 2025 ChampU BBQ was a long one and featured some of OU's top targets as the Sooners hope to expand their recruiting class that started the weekend with nine commits.

Right as the weekend got started on Friday, four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley committed to the Sooners before getting to Norman and immediately starting his own recruiting efforts. Five-star kicker Trace Rudd then committed during the event, and OU is expected to gain even more additions in the coming days.

Throughout the weekend and after, OU's visiting targets posted on social media and revealed promising signs for the future of the Sooners' 2026 class.

Obviously Rudd had a great experience.

Defensive end Jake Kreul, who ESPN rates as a five-star recruit, could become a fan-favorite of Sooner Nation if he chooses OU. He posted his pictures from the weekend, and on his Instagram post even took lyrics from Toby Keith with the caption, "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue."

Four-star athlete Jacob Eberhart from St. Louis might have had the best time in Norman. He's also taken official visits to Missouri and Nebraska. Eberhart will likely be a defensive back in college.

Defensive lineman Brian Harris, who Rivals gave four stars, has already committed to the Sooners, but has been extremely active on social media in recruiting future teammates, including Bentley. You can bet he was also a great right-hand man for OU's staff during the ChampU BBQ, too.

Jordan Clay, a consensus four-star recruit and top-15 wide receiver, took his final official visit after previous stops at Colorado and Baylor. It certainly helped having his future quarterback, Bentley, on campus.
