The Oklahoma Sooners are looking to bring some big-time talent to Norman next year.

Five-star athlete Brandon Arrington announced his top 12 school choices on Tuesday. Arrington, a 2026 prospect, is down to OU, Alabama, Penn State, Michigan, Texas A&M, USC, Florida State, UCLA, LSU, Georgia, Oregon and Nebraska in a battle of heavyweights.

Arrington can succeed just about anywhere on the field as a skill player because of his speed. Also a track star, Arrington's personal bests were 10.43 in the 100m and 20.76 in the 200m as he won California state titles in both events last year. That's good enough to also go D1 as a sprinter.

Last season for Mount Miguel High School in California, Arrington played wide receiver, cornerback and returned kicks. He can probably succeed at all those positions, even at the college level, with his explosiveness and size at 6-foot-2.

As a receiver, Arrington caught 31 passes for 527 yards and five touchdowns last season as a junior. On the defensive side, he had 26 tackles, one interception, three pass breakups and a forced fumble.

It seems he will likely end up playing cornerback in college, but can also be an asset on special teams.

Arrington is a five-star recruit according to every major recruiting service but 247Sports, which gave him four stars. Rivals and On3 rank Arrington as a top-10 overall prospect in the 2026 class. Every outlet has him ranked as a top-3 prospect at his position.

With the 2026 cycle just now really heating up, OU has four commitments from the group right now. All four so far are on the offensive side of the ball in quarterback Jaden O'Neal, wide receiver Daniel Odom, offensive lineman Will Conroy and tight end Ryder Mix. All but Conroy are four-star recruits.
