If Vegas oddsmakers filled out a bracket for the NCAA Women's Tournament, they would already put Oklahoma in Sharpie to get past the first round.

The Sooners on Sunday were announced as a No. 4 seed in the Sacramento Region 4 of the NCAA Tournament for their 26th time to go dancing in program history. As a top-4 seed, OU also earned the added benefit of home-court advantage while hosting the first two rounds at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.

The rest of the Norman Region includes No. 5 Michigan State, No. 12 Colorado State and No. 13 Idaho. The Sooners will get Idaho first late Friday night, and Vegas doesn't predict OU to have any trouble getting to the second round to face the winner of Michigan State and Colorado State.

Vegas oddsmakers open Sooners as massive favorites over Idaho

FanDuel opened OU as a massive 35.5-point favorite over Idaho as of Monday. Only six other games opened with a larger spread. FanDuel also made Michigan State a hefty 19.5-point favorite over Colorado State, with Vegas almost guaranteeing the Sooners and Spartans to meet in the second round on Sunday.

Oklahoma was also given +15000 odds by FanDuel to win the national championship, which was tied for the 12th-best with Ohio State, North Carolina, West Virginia and Minnesota. Michigan State had +20000 odds also coming out of the Norman Region.

Defending national champion and top overall seed UConn was deemed the clear favorite with -270 odds. After that was UCLA (+600), Texas (+850), South Carolina (+950), LSU (+2200) and six teams with +10000 odds. If the Sooners get out of Norman and make the Sweet 16, they will likely get a rematch with South Carolina, which they beat 94-82 in overtime in Norman during the regular season.

The Sooners will be favored until that Sweet 16 rematch with South Carolina, but even when Vegas projects South Carolina to win that matchup, no one would fault an OU fan for penciling in the Sooners to at least the Elite Eight.
