With absolutely massive shoes to fill, the Oklahoma Sooners have found what will be the closest they can get to replacing Raegan Beers at center.
Maryland transfer center Isimenme "Isi" Ozzy-Momodu on Thursday announced via X her commitment to the Sooners with one year of eligibility left at what will be her third and final stop.

With leading scorer Aaliyah Chavez returning at point guard, Beers left the biggest void in the Sooners' lineup for the 2026-27 season that would take a Transfer Portal addition to fill.
After two years at Oregon State, Beers got to OU in 2023 and finished her career as a Sooner the last two seasons. Beers, listed at 6-foot-4, just finished her career as a three-time All-American honoree, two-time First-Team All-SEC selection and with 67 double-doubles. She averaged 15.8 points and 10.4 rebounds as a senior before heading to the WNBA with a camp invite.
Along with Beers, the Sooners also lost backup center Beatrice Culliton to graduation, leaving freshman Daffa Cissoko, with only eight games under her belt, as the only center left on OU's roster. That made center head coach Jennie Baranczyk's biggest problem to solve with the portal this offseason.

First, the Sooners went after top transfer target Audi Crooks, who was second in the country in scoring last season for Iowa State. However, Crooks shockingly chose Bedlam rival Oklahoma State instead over a list of blue bloods, which sent OU back to the drawing board for Beers' replacement and ultimately led the Sooners to Ozzy-Momodu.
After spending two seasons at junior college Gulf Coast State, Ozzy-Momodu, originally from London, England, transferred to Maryland in 2024 and redshirted her first season there. This past season, she played in 31 games and made 21 starts while averaging 8.0 points and 6.4 rebounds. She notched four double-doubles during the season and scored double digits 13 times.
The Sooners will rely heavily on guard play next season, but Ozzy-Momodu, listed at 6-foot-3, will still need to step up to come even close to replacing Beers. Fans definitely shouldn't expect the same production from Ozzy-Momodu considering where the Sooners' talent will be at next season.
