Penn State's football program is in pieces after firing head coach James Franklin, and the Oklahoma Sooners get to use those pieces to build.
With commits quickly jumping ship since the coaching change, 2026 wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers flipped from Penn State to OU on Monday morning, according to Hayes Fawcett of Rivals and On3.
Penn State commit Jahsiear Rogers flips to Sooners
According to the 247Sports Composite, Rogers, listed at 5-foot-11, is a four-star prospect and the No. 52 receiver in the 2026 class. He's also the top overall player in his state out of Middletown, Delaware. Rogers immediately became the Sooners' highest-rated 2026 WR commit based on the 247Sports Composite.

The Sooners didn't even have Rogers on their radar until after the movement at Penn State. There are conflicting reports regarding Rogers' previous status, with Fawcett assuring Rogers stayed committed until his flip and 247Sports reporting that Rogers decommitted on Oct. 13. Regardless, OU was Rogers' first new offer a day later, followed by Alabama, Indiana, Kansas State, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Nebraska.
With the newfound interest, Rogers scheduled three visits to Oklahoma, Nebraska and Alabama, but he already made a decision after just his first stop in Norman on Saturday for the Sooners' loss to Ole Miss. He was scheduled to visit Nebraska this weekend and Alabama the next.
After a sluggish start to finding receiver talent for their 2026 class, the Sooners have recently taken off thanks to their ability to sway players away from rocky programs. OU also flipped three-star receiver Brayden Allen from Tulane, and Wisconsin commit Jayden Petit visited Oklahoma last weekend at the same time as Rogers. OU also hosted Iowa State receiver commit Milan Parris on Oct. 4.
Rogers joined Allen, four-star Daniel Odom and three-star Xavier Okwufulueze to give the Sooners four receivers for their 2026 class with even more possibly on the way.
