Roger Denny was just introduced as Oklahoma's new athletic director on Wednesday, but OU fans already have one particularly problem they want him to fix ASAP.

On the night before Denny's introduction, the Sooners lost to No. 15 Arkansas 83-79 in Norman to extend their SEC losing streak to seven games as they sit lifeless at the bottom of conference standings. As OU fans are miserable watching their men's basketball program struggle again in conference play, many believe Denny could be the savior to finally fire head coach Porter Moser after five seasons and return the Sooners to glory.

Some fans have been begging for a new head coach for three years now. Almost the entire fan base wanted a change this time last year before a late winning streak got the Sooners into the NCAA Tournament for the first time under Moser and ultimately saved his job.

Most of Sooner Nation, though, wants more than just sneaking into the NCAA Tournament with a losing record in conference play. It's a program with Final Four aspirations, but it's instead become the stepchild of the athletic department under retiring AD Joe Castiglione.

The change in leadership reignited some of the hope that was lost for the men's basketball program. However, even though Moser has tested fans' patience for years now, Sooner Nation will still have to remain patient, even with Denny now taking over. Bosses usually don't come in and fire people Day 1, and although Denny was tight-lipped about his future plans, he at least admitted there needs to be change.

"It used to be, hire a great coach, build great facilities, and once you build it, they will come," Denny said. "That's not the way it works anymore. I think from 30,000 feet, what I would tell you is I'm not sure. Each sport and each program deserves a strategy of its own.

"I met Coach Moser this morning for the first time, so I know nowhere near enough to tell you what we're gonna do over there, but I can tell you we're gonna dig in and we're gonna sit down with Coach Moser and figure it out. And so that's what we'll do."
