Good reason to celebrate.

The Oklahoma women's gymnastics team gave Sooner Nation the top reason to celebrate.

The Sooners on Saturday won their seventh national title at the 2025 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships in Fort Worth, Texas. While OU has won seven overall as a program, it has also claimed three of the last four after winning it back-to-back in 2022-23.

Sooners win seventh title at NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships

OU got to the top of the podium with a team score of 198.0025, besting runner-up UCLA's 197.6125. The rest of the field included Missouri in third at 197.2500 and Utah in fourth with 197.2375. The champion wasn't decided until OU's second-to-last performer in the final rotation.

The Sooners and UCLA were tied at 49.6125 after the first rotation, but OU took the lead in the second rotation and never lost it at the end of the next two rotations.

It was actually the program's second national championship of the week. Senior Jordan Bowers won the individual all-around title Thursday during the team semifinal sessions.

There's no better reason for a fan base to celebrate than its favorite team winning a championship, so Sooner Nation definitely did Saturday, as well as the team.

There are still more opportunities for Sooner Nation to celebrate this way again this year. There are still several OU teams competing as top-25 teams. That includes the four-time defending national champion softball team.
