At least for the moment, Oklahoma senior Jordan Bowers is the best female gymnast in America.
Bowers on Thursday won the individual all-around title with a score of 39.7125 during the semifinal sessions at the 2025 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships in Fort Worth, Texas.

Although Bowers did what she needed to earlier in the day, she had to wait until late Thursday night to officially be crowned champion after the second semifinal session. Bowers finished the afternoon session on top, ahead of freshman teammate Faith Torrez.
Bowers event scores included a 9.8875 on vault, 9.9375 on uneven bars, 9.9375 on balance beam and 9.9500 in floor exercise. Last week at the Seattle Regional, she notched a record three perfect scores of 10 in three different events.
Ultimately, Bowers stayed on top, as Torrez got third and between the Sooners in second was Utah's Grace McCallum, who was a silver medalist at the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Most of the firepower Bowers had to beat competed while she watched. Along with McCallum, the second session also featured UCLA's Jordan Chiles and Oregon State's Jade Carey. Both were part of the United States team that just won gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Also in the group were U.S. alternates Leanne Wong from Florida and Joscelyn Roberson of Arkansas.
Despite all the international accolades of her competitors, Bowers still rose to the top to become OU's first all-around champion since Anastasia Webb in 2021.
Bowers' performance helped propel the Sooners back to the national titles. OU won Semifinal I with a score of 197.550 to advance to the finals along with Missouri. UCLA and Utah advanced from Semifinal II.
The NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships final will be at 3 p.m. CT Saturday on ABC. The Sooners will be after their seventh national championship and third in the last four years.
