The road to Oklahoma starts in Oklahoma for the Sooners.
For the 14th straight season, the Sooners are hosting a regional as a 1-seed in the NCAA Softball Championship. This is the second year the new Love's Field will house postseason action.
Joining the Sooners in the Norman Regional are the No. 2 California Golden Bears, No. 3 Omaha Mavericks and No. 4 Boston Terriers. OU will get Boston first on Friday, while Cal and Omaha face off.
Oklahoma Sooners hosting regional, super regional at Love's Field
As the No. 2 overall seed behind Texas A&M, OU will also get to host a super regional in Norman if the Sooners get past regionals. The winner of the Norman Regional will play whoever comes out of the Tuscaloosa Regional, which includes No. 15 overall seed Alabama, Virginia Tech, Belmont and Jackson State.
This setup means, once again, the Sooners will not need to leave the state of Oklahoma -- or even the 405 -- the rest of the season, even if they make the Women's College World Series, which is hosted at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
The bracket is set! 🥎
