Although winding down, portal season isn't over yet.
The transfer portal window closed for Oklahoma on Wednesday night, but the Sooners can still add players from the portal. And there's still plenty of talent available.
So far, Brent Venables & Co. has added 12 players from the transfer portal during this cycle, including four receivers, a pair of specialists, two tight ends and a star quarterback (and his backup). The Sooners still have needs, though, and the answers are still out there.
Here are five players still available in the transfer portal who OU could grab and bolster the 2025 roster.
Kendal Daniels, LB/S, Oklahoma State
Kendal Daniels wouldn't need to travel far to Norman from Stillwater.
Daniels was a three-year starter for Oklahoma State, beginning his career as a safety before moving down to linebacker this season. That versatility makes Daniels perfect to slip into Venables' hybrid cheetah position, whether as a starter or to add depth with starter Dasan McCullough transferring to Nebraska.
Venables has nabbed defensive talent from the Bedlam rival before in Trace Ford, who also played some cheetah this season. OU also offered Daniels back when he was a four-star recruit coming out of instate Beggs High School.
Zachariah Branch, WR, USC
The Sooners desperately needed wide receivers and added four so far but have yet to land a receiver that got Sooner Nation excited about being paired with John Mateer.
Zachariah Branch is the best receiver still available and was ranked as the No. 2 portal receiver overall by 247Sports. As a sophomore, Branch had 47 receptions, 503 yards and a TD. He was a five-star recruit out of high school.
There are also bonuses to landing Branch. He probably comes with brother Zion, another talented receiver. And stealing two of Lincoln Riley's top talents would be a feather in the cap for Sooner Nation.
However, getting the Branch brothers would require a last-second niracle for OU. They've been swindled by everyone in the country so far and are reportedly visiting Miami (FL) this weekend.
Fa'alili Fa'amoe, OT, Washington State
The Sooners can never get too much help on the offensive line in the SEC, especially with experience and size.
Fa'alili Fa'amoe transferring to OU also makes a lot of sense. He's already played for new offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle and blocked for new QB1 John Mateer at Washington State.
Fa'amoe, a redshirt junior, started seven games at right tackle this season after missing the first three games because of injury. He has started 26 games in his career after getting to Wazzu as a defensive lineman.
Marvin Jones Jr., Edge, Florida State
With Ethan Downs for sure gone and R Mason Thomas still deciding on his future, the Sooners could be losing both starting defensive ends and looking for more depth at defensive end.
At 6-foot-5 and 255 pounds, Jones not only brings size but also Power Four experience from time at Georgia and Florida State. This season with FSU, Jones had 25 tackles, four sacks and a forced fumble.
Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports and 247Sports reported that Jones is scheduled to visit Oklahoma soon.
Ethan O'Connor, CB, Washington State
Although on the other side of the ball, this could continue OU's trend of getting talent (and coaches) from Washington State.
Ethan O'Connor started every game this season as a redshirt freshman. He recorded 32 tackles while leading the Cougars with four interceptions and eight pass breakups.
The Sooners could use more bodies in the secondary, and O'Connor paired with fellow freshman Eli Bowen could give OU locked down corners for the foreseeable future.
