Things moved quickly once the Transfer Portal officially opened on Friday, including in Oklahoma.

The Sooners on Monday have two commitments out of the portal just three days since it opened, but even though it seems a lot has already happened, it's still early in the cycle before the portal closes on Jan.16. OU general manager Jim Nagy and his staff hosted prospects all weekend in Norman and have even more lined up for this week as a handful of players have emerged as early targets for the Sooners.

The Sooners' first portal commitment was a tight end in Florida's Hayden Hansen, but they still need even more as OU is trying to completely replenish the position while also searching for a new tight ends coach. Rocky Beers, a grad transfer from Colorado State, seemed like an early fit for the Sooners because of his sibling connection with his sister, Raegan, being a star on the OU women's basketball team.

Beers, listed at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, broke out for 31 receptions, 388 receiving yards, and a team-high and program-record seven touchdowns this season. According to Pete Nakos of On3, Beers has scheduled visits to Oklahoma, Florida State and Minnesota.

The Sooners already got some reinforcements on the interior of the offensive line, but they need the most help at offensive tackle, which is where Nevada's Zach Cochnauer can come in with one year of eligibility left. Cochnauer, listed at 6-foot-5 and 306 pounds, started in 11 games this season while missing one game because of an injury. He started his career at Central Arkansas, where he spent three seasons before transferring last year.

According to Nakos, Cochnauer has visits planned this week to OU, Minnesota and Arizona.

Former Appalachian State and Arkansas wide receiver Davion Dozier on Sunday announced an offer from the Sooners after a 2025 season that included 20 catches for 448 yards and five TDs. He spent the two years before at Arkansas, where he was a teammate of OU's No. 1 WR Isaiah Sategna III.

Dozier, listed at 6-foot-4, also announced an offer from Kansas on Monday.

Saturday Blitz ranked UTSA's Kenny Ozowalu as the No. 10 edge rusher available in the portal, and on Sunday night, Ozowalu made it known that he enjoyed his weekend visit to Norman with a post on X.

Ozowalu broke out for 17 tackles, six tackles for loss and three sacks as a freshman for UTSA this season after redshirting in 2024. He will have three years of eligibility left, so he could not only provide immediate depth for the Sooners, but also develop into a big-time contributor.

Kentucky's Austin Ramsey is expected to be in Oklahoma on Monday, according to On3 and Rivals' Brandon Drumm. Ramsey is an intriguing prospect after Kentucky moved him across the trenches while converting him from offensive tackle to defensive tackle.

Ramsey, listed at 6-foot-4 and 303 pounds, got to Kentucky in 2023 as a consensus three-star recruit and top-50 offensive tackle prospect. After redshirting in 2023, Ramsey converted to defensive tackle ahead of his redshirt-freshman season. He had five tackles and a sack this season as a reserve.

Although he has minimal SEC experience, Ramsey will still get to OU as a raw defensive lineman, but Brent Venables could develop him into a contributor.
