The Oklahoma Sooners already have one of the best 2027 recruiting classes in college football with a whopping 21 commitments, but they're still not finished adding to the group with official visit season now here.

The last weekend of May puts official visit season in full swing with a load of uncommitted targets visiting Norman over the next few days. A few of those prospects have already been on the cusp of going all in as a Sooner for some time now, so this weekend could finally be when a decision is made. The Sooners will also host targets throughout June, including the ChampU BBQ event. This first weekend at the end of May, though, has the chance to be the most productive for the Sooners this summer.

Predicting 2027 commitments for the Sooners after official visits

The Sooners have worked extremely quick on three-star running back Jakoby Dixon since new running backs coach Deland McCullough offered him just last month after Jaxsen Stokes flipped his commitment from OU to in-state Cal to open up a spot at the position.

Within days, the Sooners were already at the top of Dixon's list and Rivals' Steve Wiltfong this week logged a prediction for Dixon to choose OU, which is likely to happen while he's on campus for an official visit this weekend. According to the 247Sports Composite, Dixon is the No. 51 running back in the 2027 class but is back on the rise after an underwhelming junior season knocked him down some.

The Sooners were pretty early on four-star cornerback Gabriel Osborne Jr. with an offer last June as a local prospect from Mustang High School. Since, that list of offers has inflated to also include the likes of Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Missouri, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and more.

Osborne is nearing a decision, though, after last week narrowing his choices to five, including OU, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State and Miami. Even before that, though, SoonerScoop's Josh McCuistion in March predicted Osborne to commit to the Sooners. That could come true this weekend during his visit, and really needs to before he visits those other big-time programs.

It's been a matter of when not if four-star safety Bode Sparrow will pledge to the Sooners, and it could finally be this weekend while he's on his official visit to OU. Multiple recruiting experts have been predicting Sparrow to commit to OU for months now, including Rivals' Steve Wiltfong just this week.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Sparrow is the No. 69 overall prospect in the 2027 class and top player in the state of Utah.

At one point, four-star cornerback Bryce Williams was predicted to commit to Nebraska, but a lot has changed during his recruitment, including a late offer from the Sooners earlier this month. Despite already having a top 5 that did not include OU, the race for Williams in the last few weeks has come down to the Sooners and Cornhuskers. He'll be in Norman this weekend before visiting Lincoln the next.

The Sooners have already made that much of an impact on Williams in just three weeks and haven't even gotten him on campus for a visit yet. The heat will really rise this weekend as the Sooners look to secure Williams before he heads to Nebraska.
