Oklahoma football season is right around the corner, and the future is bright. I’m still digesting the massive commitment of Davon Mitchell as I write this article. As I scanned the depths of Twitter and Instagram for content related to Mitchell’s commitment, I had a little reminder about the future of another Sooners program with a bright future… the Oklahoma basketball program.
The Sooners’ men’s hoopers are in the middle of their offseason grind. Hours of workouts, gym sessions, and practices are building up for what should be a redemption season for Coach Mosier and his Sooner Hoopers. As I looked through the practice pics posted by the Oklahoma basketball program, I briefly took a break from the Mitchell news. I started looking for an up-to-date Oklahoma basketball roster… I couldn’t find an accurate one.
So, in celebration of the Sooner basketball grind, here is the most up-to-date Oklahoma basketball roster I could piece together.

The Sooner Hoops roster has undergone a massive overhaul, but who hasn’t? The world of college basketball parallels the world of all other college sports… even softball now. Transfer portal additions, retractions, transfers, and dropouts are consistent and permanent. College sports are different today than they were ten years ago. Roster overhauls are the new standard and will not go away anytime soon.
College basketball rosters have always been somewhat transient. Players have the option to leave for the NBA after one-year post-high school. Many of the early first-rounders only stay for one season in college anyways.
I just wanted to touch base with the Oklahoma basketball program. Keep them in your mind. I know football season is coming up, and nobody is more excited about it than me, but… don’t forget about the hoopers. The grind is intense, and it will produce NCAA tournament results this year for these Sooner hoopers.
Keep grinding.
