TCU vs. Georgia

Granted these two teams weren’t exactly in the same tier record-wise last year, but the programs aren’t as far off as one might think. The Horned Frogs have been just below elite status for a number of years thanks to a consistently-good defense from head coach Gary Patterson and an offense that is catching up some of its Big 12 brethren.

Just look back to the way TCU played against a top five Ohio State team last year despite being int eh midst of a down year. Could they give the Bulldogs a fun game? Sure. Would it take monumental effort on defense and a few big offensive breaks? Probably.

Still Georgia would have to take this game as seriously as possible to avoid a big upset from a well-coached TCU squad.

Iowa State vs. Mississippi State

We almost matched up Iowa State and Georgia, but made this change at the last minute.

It would make for an interesting dichotomy to place these two programs against each other. On one hand you have Iowa State, which seems to get the most possible out of its talent despite being short on NFL prospects over the past few years. On the other you have Mississippi State, a program that struggles with consistency, especially on offense.

This could turn into a 10-7 gutter war between these two teams and we are all here for it.
