No. 7 Buddy Hield, Guard, 2012-16

Buddy Hield played four seasons at Oklahoma under head coach Lon Kruger. He ended his Sooner career as the No. 2 scorer all-time at Oklahoma (2,291 points) and the all-time scoring leader in the Big 12.

The two-time All-American and national player of the year in college basketball in 2016 was the sixth overall selection in the 2016 NBA Draft. Hield was the No, 1 pick of the New Orleans Pelicans.

Hield played part of one season with the Pelicans before being traded to the Sacramento Kings in February 2017. He averaged 8.6 points a game in 57 games coming off the bench for the Pelicans. With Sacramento in 2016-17, he averaged 15.1 points a game, and this season, he averaged 13.5 points in 80 games for the Kings.

His rookie season in 2016-17, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team.

Hield’s NBA career is just two seasons old, which is the biggest reason he is ranked so low on this list. The expectation is that he will climb on this list as his NBA career progresses.
